HDPE Recycling: Is it in your Future?

If you ever find you need to use HDPE, this is the place you need to go to first, and last. You may be asking yourself what HDPE Scrap is. Well, HDPE Scrap is used in many products we purchase everyday.

Have you ever wondered what lines the inside of the cearal boxes you purchase? You guessed it, HDPE is the clear, plastic lining containing your favorite cearal. Maybe,you have wondered what type of plastic is used to contain your sweet whipped cream or deli foods. Again, you would be correct, HDPE is what is containing these very products you may purchase on a regular basis.

So, where does this HDPE come from? Well, it is a recyclable waste made from only high density Polyethylene.

With all this information, you may be wondering what a plastic actually is and how it is formed. Did you know, that without chemistry plastics would not be created the way it is? Plastics are a synthetic or man-made polymer. Many trees and plants have a naturally occurring product called resins. This is a form of plastic found in nature.
