TwiceGirlies Drawing and Coloring on Paper

So my Aunt and I were talking a week or two ago about a lady she either knows or read about who let her kids draw and or paint in a drawing tablet. So today one of my friends and I went our for a while. She wanted to go to Bed Bath and Beyond and I had a coupon for Michael's.

While at Michael's, I purchased two drawing tablets, drawing pencils and some other artistic items for my girlie's. When my girlie's came home from school, I showed them the drawing tablets I purchased them and they began drawing in them.

Since my girlie's love drawing, I thought this was the perfect thing to keep them occupied instead of wasting their braincells on the television so much. My hubby and I already purchased a red child sized easel with chalkboard and wiping board, but I really want to save these drawings or paintings they do, just like the Mom who let her kids draw in the tablet and she put some of the pictures in frames.

This is something I plan to do as well, frame some of their artwork and or give some to Nana..Yeah, Nana would love some of their artwork.

TwiceToddlers Colored Their Wooden Dolls

Well, as many of my readers already know..Mommy likes, I mean really likes, Michael's Craft Store. In fact, I go there quite often. These are the wooden dolls I have mentioned time and time again. My twins have colored them with the colored markers in the package. My goodness, if I allowed them, they would have colored all the ones Daddy and Mommy purchased for them two weeks ago.

Besides these cool wooden dolls, which there are at least 4 or 5 different ones (with girl names), there is also a horse, a race car, letters of the alphabet with an animal representing that letter and a lot of little bugs(lady bugs) and frames which kids can color.

I really like these and what would be even cooler is...if the prices were lower than $1.99. If they were .$99, we would probably be able to purchase even more.

TwiceToddlers at Michael's

This morning, before heading out to the park, we all went into Michael's. You know, I really like this store...can you tell? I must go at least 3 times a month. So this morning, we all went into Michael's to get the girls some more wooden dolls to color. These dolls are pretty cool. They come with four colors to use to color the wooden girl dolls whatever color or way my twins want to.

On this Michael's excursion, we picked up 4 dolls a piece, one horse and one car a piece for them. Yes, these are all wooden pieces which keep them occupied. When you have twins that are as busy as mine, you need...no must...keep them occupied all the time.

Along with the wooden dolls, we got then a hand puppet a piece, a paddle ball (which they will break in two shakes of a lamb's tale), a small wooden bird house to paint as well.

Finally, we got Mommy some goodies. Since I like making candies with molds and chocolates I find at Michael's, I had to purchase two new molds, two bags of chocolate (pink and white), gold wrapping paper and candy sticks. The only thing I did not see was that paper for allowing candies or dipped fruit to dry on. All in all, we had a fun time in Michael's and got one more coupon to use by the 12th. I will see if my Mom and I can go when my parent's come up for the twins graduation ceremony...

TwiceToddlers and Stuff from Michael's Craft Store

This morning, I called my sweet friend from church and bible study. I was about to ask her if she could pick me up and take me to cash a check, them to Michael's Craft Store. Gosh, it seems like I have been going to Michael's a lot lately. I do have valid reasons for going though. When I am there, I pick up scrap booking paper, stickers, embellished stickers, decoupage glue, cocoa in bags, found in the cake/candy aisle, silver or gold candy wrappers, gold or white truffle boxes and molds to make my candies.

So this morning, my girlfriend and I, along with her son who is my twins age, went to cash my check, then to Michael's. Today, I purchased some more gold and white truffle boxes, homemade stickers and a hearts mold. Along with these items I needed, I purchased some things for my twins to do while indoors. I was looking for some cute things that would not cost me an arm and a leg. So, I went to the dollar and two dollar bins. There, I found some wooden dolls, wooden insects and wooden alphabet's with an animal representing that letter. I purchased the letter's representing my twins first initial of their name.

Right now, I am on a kick and really like making molded candies. How long it will know, only I know, but it so much fun making homemade candies, chocolate candies, that is. As for the wooden dolls, insects and letters to color, I will probably give to my twins for graduation or if it continues to rain, so as to keep them occupied.
