Twins and Playing in Sprinklers

The weather was somewhat nice today, but it was not nice enough to run through the backyard and front yard sprinklers...in their tankini's. Daddy said if the temp got to 75 degrees, they could run in the sprinklers.

I think Daddy said this around 3ish. It seemed every minute my twins were asking what the temp was and when could they run in the sprinklers. Oh goodness, it became very annoying. Twin "A" kept coming into the home to see what the temp was. I had to tell her the temp inside really had nothing to do with the temp outside right now. It could be 75 inside and 70 outside. In fact, this is what it was like yesterday.

Then, Twin "B" was sitting on top the swings and over and over again asking what the temp was. When Daddy finally it will not get to 70 degrees today, she came in the house and crawled under her bed..Yeah, under her bed as if this was going to make the temp go higher or I could change the temp some how. When Twin "B" went under her bed, Twin "A" put on her Winter jacket, gloves and scarf. Yeah, they were not happy campers..

I had to tell both Twins "A" and "B" that I do not control the weather and it is in God's hands, as far as I know. Then I looked on my Kindle Fire on the weather.com app for the 10 day forecast. Well, it is only going to get to 70 degrees, at most, this weekend to. My twins are so ready for Spring and Summer. Well, they are not alone as I am so tired of this cold weather.

The sun is wonderful I tell my twins, but just because the sun is out does not mean it is warm outside.
If it were up to my twins, they would be in Summer clothes year round.

Twins Playing in Slip N Slide

My twins, they love playing outside. In fact, they would rather be outside than inside. As soon as the weather turns from cold to warm they are outdoors in an instant. I do not blame them, after being indoors for over 4 months, warmer weather becomes a much welcomed friend. The funny thing about my cities weather is we go from cold, chilly weather to warm, hot weather in an instant. In fact, my state really only has two seasons, Winter and Summer. I think my state is very unique this way because, as far as I know, East Coast states go through all four seasons. I am so used to really having only two seasons, it would be strange to live with four seasons.

Anyway, here are my twins running and semi sliding on our Slip N Slide in our front yard. Look at their faces. They are smiling and laughing with glee. They are in their glory playing outside where they can yell, scream and just have a blast. The only thing Mommy does not like about them ever playing together is their fighting. They even fight over who will run down the slide first. Geezzz

TwiceToddlers are so Bored

My twins, they are 4 years old and just have so much energy which needs to be released. All they want to do is play. Daddy and Mommy will take them to the mall to go on the Min-Go-Round and play in the arcade, but the rain and cold weather, it seems to keep us indoors.

My twins are just getting so tired of playing inside and I am sure, of watching Disney movies and their cartoon shows they watch on the weekdays. Daddy and Mommy do have two or three games in which they can play as these games are for toddlers. But my twins just will not sit still as many toddlers I am sure.

With days like this, raining off and on and it being chilly, I do read books to them. I just purchased three books for them at the dollar store. Two small Disney books and one Christian book for toddlers too. I did not see any crafts for toddlers to do at the Dollar store, too bad.

My twins do have their Leapster II's which they like. They have a Dora and Diego game cartridge they interchange and they do like playing those games as they are learning more about letters and numbers and taking direction. My twins are in preschool, so they are learning to take direction in preschool and their dance class, but these games are also fun learning games for them. I play to download a book each for them on their Leapster pretty soon.

My twins like to play "Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck...Goose.." The only problem is, they say "Duck, Duck.." too many times and they do not play correctly..that game is a wash for me...

So, as the winter days continue and our time is more indoors that outdoors, my twins continue with their boredom and so does Mommy.
