TwiceToddlers (No More) and A Visit From Our Local C.H.P.

Last Friday when my twins were in school, some local CHP Officers came to their classroom. My twins loved it! My Dad, their Papa, was a CHP Officer for 32 years. If Papa had not retired a DAY before they were born, they might have seen Papa's CHP motorcycle. My Dad still has his uniform and hats though. Hmmm, that is something my twins will have to see, maybe get into, when we visit my parents this summer.

When my twins came home from school, they received a CHP coloring book, a star shaped sticker and a star shaped rub on tattoo. The sticker and tattoo had our state emblem in the middle. I told my twins I used to call Papa a "Chippy" and I used to watch the show "CHiPs" when I was in high school. Now, this would be a fun show to come back. I mean, all over shows from the past are resurrected...right??

That is so much for my twins. When they were in preschool, at Great Beginnings, they had a visit from some fireman on their firetruck. Personally, I am biased towards the CHP since my Dad was a CHP for 32 years.

Handing out promotional items to clients is important

Within the past several months, I began making floral head wear for my twins and some of my friends girls. I really love making them and it gives me something to do from home since I do not work outside my home. Now, whether you have your own, small or large, company or just like using or personalized products, it can now be done with such items as promotional pens. These are great to hand out to current or potential clients wherever you live. It is so nice to see your company name or your personal name printed on promo pens. These pens come in a variety of colors, styles and prices. The best thing about purchasing these pens is, they are easy to carry in your car, purse or bag and it shows the care you took into having these pens made.

Another item I found important when are custom printed envelopes. These envelopes are excellent for sending letters out to your clients or potential clients about new products you are making and sending out invoices. Sending out custom envelopes in a variety of sizes and colors also shows clients you are not dull and boring. Some envelopes have windows in them and some envelopes are made on recycled paper.
There are a lot of companies who make promotional items. In fact, all of them want your and my business.

When deciding on what company will make your personalized products, look at more than one company. Since looking for personalized business products, I came upon
another review of Amsterdam Printing. Yeah, I found out this company has been in the printing business since 1925! That is a long time of producing something they love for clients big, small and individuals too. They sell promotional items like pens, calendars, drink ware, bags and so much more. After finding one review on this company, I found additional reviews on this company. This review was about their complete line of products, professionalism and timely manner in which their products are shipped to their clients. When a company has a review like this, you know this is the company to do all your business with.

TwiceToddlers (No More) and Baby Photos

This morning, Twin B, was talking about when she was a baby. This got me talking about when she was a preemie. So, I looked in one place I thought the photos would be. No, they were not there. I looked through all the photo albums and the photos were not there. So, I looked in another place I thought I had moved them a couple years ago. Yup,that is where the photos were.

So, I picked them up and brought them to my bedroom. On both sides of me, Twin A and Twin B sat. They both opened their "baby" photo books and we began to look at them when they were in my womb. Twin B was interested to see what she looked like in Mommy's womb. I told her, when I first saw her on the sonogram, I remember seeing her spinal cord and was just in awe. I could not believe how vivid her spinal cord was and how small she looked.

This is the reason I was looking for their baby photo books. It had been over four years since I looked at their precious pre-born and birthed baby photos. Oh, my twins were just so precious. They came into the world at 32 weeks, instead of the intended 38 weeks. My sweetie pies stayed in the NICU for two weeks, while I was only able to recover from the C-Section upstairs for one week.

Thinking about it now, it all a blur to me. Everything happened so fast. From me called my hubby to come pick me up at home to take me to our local hostital in pain, to being weighted and placed on a gurney, then driven my ambulance to the closest hospital with a NICU. Our community hospital did not have a NICU in 2005 and not sure if they have one now.

Oh goodness, then I was placed again in a bed, in a private room and I begin having major contractions. These contractions had be jumping up and pain and wanting to get our of my bed, with IV in arm. I remember the local doctor telling me he would do a C-Section in the morning, but I remember telling him, "Oh no,these babies are coming out tonight."

Yes, as it turned out, I was right. My twins came out via C-Section at 8:13PM and 8:14PM. Since my twins were preemies, they were sent down the to NICU and placed in incubators with oxygen in their nose and a heart monitor on their tiny little bodies. My twins also had a purple head protector on and a purple eye protector on. Oh yes, my twins were fraternal, and not identical. It took me a long time to remember who was who as well. Even today, at age five, I still get them mixed up.

I was still "out of it" from the surgery, but I think I went downstairs in a wheelchair with a nurse. My hubby was already downstairs and my parents were driving up from SoCal. My Dad had just retired from the CHP on November 4th, a day before, so this was an absolute surprise and retirement gift indeed.

Oh, I could go on, but I would have no idea where to stop!

TwiceToddlers (No More) and their Time With Nana and Papa

My twins had a very good time with Nana and Papa. Well, they always do. It is a shame we live so far away from each other. Well, at least my parents do not have to fly to my home. I mean, they could if they wanted to, it would take them less time to get to my home, but with the way airports are since 2001, why submit yourself to the scrutiny of the airport security and going through those machines.

When my parents came to my home, we celebrated both their birthday's at our home and had a good time. I have taken photos, but have yet to look at them. For my Mom's birthday, I had a photo jewelry box made for her from an only company that closed down and merged with another online company.

I was so sad because I had recently cancelled all of the online photo company's I had been signed up with. I wanted to only be signed up with one company, the one I had the photo jewelry box with. Now, I am back with the online photo company I had closed my account with. Oh well, there could be worse things than having to go back to the online photo company you just closed your account with, right?

But I digress......

My Mom loved the photo jewelry box I made her. The photo was of her and the twins at Christmas time. It was a photo from Christmas morning where my twins were still in their pajamas. The greatest thing about the photo jewelry box was the price. It was half the cost it originally was, plus free shipping! The jewelry box was real big! I can't imagine what it cost to ship the box from Seattle to my city.

Now, since my twins were is school when my parents were visiting, they really did not do that much. Except my Mom and I drove the twins to school in the morning and picked them up instead of Daddy. This gave Daddy a break.

My parents only stayed five days. My Dad has bad allergies every time he comes to our home. The trees are blooming and every other plant in or around my home.

For my Dad's birthday, the twins made Papa birthday cards, which were left in my bedroom, and two $10 Starbucks giftcards. I did it this way so when Papa opened each card, the twins would see what they gave Papa for his March birthday.

The next time we will see my family is hopefully in the summertime. Not sure which month yet, but sometime soon. My twins love to see all three of their cousins, my sister's boy's.
