TwiceToddlers Mom and the Organic Farming Bill

Last week and now today, I am hearing word of a bill which will be passed outlawing organic farming in America. Do you know what this means to our health? Organic farming has been done for, well ever, until Monsanto corrupted our heirloom seeds and begin doing, what you really do not want to know about, to our vegetable and fruit seeds.

To learn more about this evil being perpetrated upon humans everywhere, please tune in to Sweet Remedy Radio(BLOG TALK RADIO) tonight March 31 between 7:00-8:00 PST and 10:00-11:00 EST. You will learn more about this from Cori Brackett(Sweet Misery/Remedy) and Consumer Attorney Jim Turner. Cori and Jim will talking about the controversy surrounding this bill.

If you want to, please call in to 914-338-0821.

TwiceToddlers in their Party Dress

Today, one of our friends was coming over to take our girls to a birthday party. Having forgot about the party, yesterday, I purchased these cute dresses for my girls at the Gap Outlet. I love brown and these polka dots were just adorable. Plus, the dress came with bloomers. I love bloomers, even for babies wearing undies now.

Here are my girls watching TV waiting for their ride to come pick them up:

TwiceToddlers Cleaning the Kitchen Floor

For Christmas, I got them both some cleaning products. These are from DirtDevil. My girls think this is a toy and I have to tell them, "No, you are going to use this to help Mommy clean the kitchen floor." I also got them a broom with dust pan. My next plan is to get them their own vacuums too.

Here are some photos of them cleaning the kitchen floor with their 'toys'.

TwiceToddlers at DodgeRidge

This was my twins first time at the snow. We were not prepared at all equipment wise. We did not have to right shoes, clothes, hats, no gloves or sunglasses. But, we still had fun anyway. Next year, when they are 4, we might give them ski lessons on the toddler slopes.
The snow was not new at all and every time we stepped in it, the snow began to melt and mud began to form. This was on the side of the road though. We did go up to Dodge ridge, but the girls were not too impressed so we headed back on down the mountain.
The drive is two hours from our home so on the ride up, my girls feel asleep. On the ride down, they were wide awake.
Here are some photos of us at Dodge ridge in Pinecrest, CA.

TwiceToddlers Mom and iHerb Supplements

Does anyone purchase iHerb supplements? I have since 2006 and they are just an awesome company. They sell products from A-Z and everything in between. This company has been around since 1997 and their warehouse is in San Gabriel Valley of Southern California.

If you want to check them out, use the code: MON419 to get a discount at checkout.

TwiceToddlers Mommy and Daddy go on a Date

Tonight, we had one of our babysitters come over and watch our twins for about four hours. Daddy took Mommy on a date to see a movie. This is a movie Daddy had wanted to see for about a month and it was a surprise to see it still in any theater. We had to drive to Livermore to see the movie in their awesome new downtown plaza. The movie theater was just amazing. Two stories and each movie theatre was small. The surround sound was just awesome too. I give the Downtown Livermore movie theatre 5 stars.

Anyway, the movie we watched was Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood. If you have not seen it and would like to, I will not spoil it for you. There was a lot of foul language and racial slurs in it. By no mean was this film politically correct. For this movie though, I guess it was necessary. I mean, it was a Clint Eastwood movie.

Okay, I will have to spoil the ending for you though. Sorry! As I was driving home, I began to think to myself, then out loud to my husband, about how Walt, Clint's character, died. You see, Walt died for another man. It would be amazing if any man would lay down their life for another. That is, without going to war, etc. Walt was willing to die for his young neighbor and friend. Walt wanted to save him from the life he might never have. Walt did exactly what Christ did for us. Christ laid down His life for us, so that we might live. Jesus was born to live and die on a cross for us. Unlike Walt, Christ rose from the dead 3 days later. Christ loves us so very much He became our sin. That is a loving God.

This is just the way I saw it in the end. This movie, of course, is Hollywood. I wonder if Clint saw the similarities with his character and Christ? Laying down Walt's life so his friend could live.

Something to think about.

God Bless.

TwiceToddlers and Online Christian Learning Tools

After trying to get my twins to play some Playhouse Disney Games online, I tried to FIND Online Christian Learning games. Do you think I had any luck? I would think there would be some very well put together Online Christian Learning websites. And these websites would be FREE.

Now, I was also looking for free Christian toddler or preschool websites. I have not found a single one I even like. It is a shame there are not enough Christian websites for toddlers that are put together like the Playhouse Disney Website.

TwiceToddlers and Playhouse Disney Online

This afternoon, I 'attempted' to show my twins how to play some games on the Playhouse Disney website. Well, with the two of them sitting next to me it made it hard for me to type or use the arrow keys. Not only this, they just did not seem interested.

All they kept talking about was watching Tigger and Pooh, Magic Movers (as they call it) and Yiyyle Insteins on cable TV.

My girls just have way too much energy and sitting down for too long is not what they like to do. This is why when it is time for nap or bedtime, it takes them a while to settle down.

Silly TwiceToddlers!!

TwiceToddlers and Crafts

Since my twins have begun attending daycare three times a week, they have been doing all sorts of crafts. Well, since I am Mommy I thought it was time for me to do crafts with them as well. Now, I know toddlers and even older kids seem to pay attention and obey anyone other than their Mommy or Daddy. So, it has taken me a while to decide to do the craft thing with my girls.

Well, tonight while the three of us were watching an episode of Hi-5, Kimee was making a paper butterfly for Karla. It was real easy to make as all she used was construction paper, card stock paper ( I think), paint and colored pipe cleaners.

So, after Daddy got home and we ate dinner, I went to Michael's and purchased all the above, minus the card stock which I already have. I also purchased some wiggley black eyes and colorful small pom poms.

I plan on making two butterflies with my girls tomorrow.

Pray for me this goes well...

TwiceToddler "A" and the Pee Pee Incident

This afternoon when we arrived back home from daycare, TwiceToddler "A" looks down at her pants and says she is cold. She is taking off her jacket and again looking down at her pants saying, "I'm cold". I say, "I'ts not cold in her."

Then, as we walk to TwiceTodder "A&B" room, I see why she is cold. The backside her pants were all wet. I looked at her and she began to cry. I said in a soft voice, "What happened? Did you go pee in the car?" She looked at me and said, "No." Then I said, "Were you not able to hold your pee?" Again, TwiceToddler looked at me and said, "No."

So, she took off her pants and underwear. I got a warm clothe with soap. I had TwiceTodder "A" stand on the toilet seat cover as I, Mommy, cleaned her off. I was not about to give her and her sister a bath this time. I was their nap time and a bath would have to wait until after dinner.

Well, if the happens again, and I am sure it will (with TwiceToddler "B"), I will be consoling like I was with her sister.

Oops!! Sometimes, babies just can not feel the sensation to pee...

TwiceToddlers and Two New Pair of Shoes

Saturday evening, Daddy took his precious baby girls out on a date. Daddy took our girls to the mall and bought them two new pair of shoes from Vans. After Vans, he took them to Pet Smart to see the kitties.

One of the kitties, a Siamese Mix, looked exactly like our cat, Sassy, who ran away in March 2006 when our girls were 5 months old. This cat looked exactly like our cat, except she was a feral cat and only 6 months old. Too bad, I have always hoped my Sassy would come home.

Well, here are some photos of my twins new pair of shoes.

TwiceToddlers and the Paper Butterflies

My twins love this show called Hi-5. It is on Discovery Kids. We never watch it there though. Instead, we watch the reruns on Comcast Cable under Discovery Kids.
Well, one day we were watching this episode where Kimee was making a paper butterfly for Karla. It looked easy enough to make so I went to Michaels and purchased some of the items needed, and a little bit more, to make the paper butterflies.

Here are photos of how I made them and their completed form:

TwiceToddlers and The Underwear Incident

Yesterday as I was putting my twins down for their one afternoon nap, it has not occurred me to take off their underwear and put on their pull up. You see, I have only begun to, once again, try and potty train them with their underwear. In the past, I had not trusted them enough to tell me when they "felt" the need to use the potty.

Usually Twin "B', more than Twin "A", would not tell Mommy she had to go potty. This did not make for a happy Mommy as I would have to clean up either type of potty mess. So, I opted for my twins wearing their pull ups full time.

Since last weekend, I have begun "allowing" them to wear their underwear again. Well, it has worked out well for all three of us. My twins are beginning to 'feel' when they have to go potty. The only reason I began letting them wear their underwear again is because they actually used the potty while in daycare. So, I figured, I will be bold and once again try the underwear training.

Getting back to yesterday. I put my twins down for their afternoon nap and I forgot to take off their underwear off and put on their pull up. Well, 40 minutes into their nap, Twin "A" woke up and was crying. I asked her why she was crying and then felt why. Twin "A"s pantes were all wet. I could feel she still had her underwear on! Oh my goodness! I had totally forgotten to take off their underwear. Now both my twins were up and fussy because they thought it was their fault for peeing in their pants.

I told them, "Oh, this is all Mommy's fault. I am so sorry girls. Don't worry, I will take off your sheets, wash them and I will give you a bath." Talk about a lesson in humility. Yes, even Mommy's make mistakes at times.

So today, on our way home from daycare, we poked fun at Mommy for not taking off their underwear yesterday and made sure to put their pull ups on today for nap time. My twins loved making fun of Mommy.

TwiceToddlers @ FireProof Bible Study II

This week, out bible study was titled: Love for a Lifetime

Our twins were the only children this time at the bible study. Several other married couples were unable to be there this night.

At this bible study, we were asked if we understood the 'covenant' nature of marriage vows.

The movie scene we watched this week was with Caleb and Michael discussing each other's marriages. Caleb had no connection to his wife anymore. They never talked and they were more like strangers living with each other. Michael on the other hand was the polar opposite. In the scene we watched, Michael glued a salt and pepper shaker together. Caleb took it out of Michael's hand and tried to tear them apart. Michael said to Caleb, "Don't tear them apart, one or both might be torn apart." Well, Michael said something similar to this.

Anyway, this is a great way to describe marriages. Just because something is not working right, does not mean it has to be torn apart. This is where communication in marriage plays an important role.

For Better or For Worse
"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour." Ecclesiastes 4:9

After the wedding, that is when the marriage begins and all the trials and tribulations that come along with it.

"What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." Matthew 10:9
