TwiceToddlers Spend Christmas in SoCal

This Christmas, my twins, DH and myself drove to SoCal to spend Christmas with my parents, sister's family, our Aunts and Uncles. The drive down this time was just wonderful and I will tell you why. Can you guess? I sat in between my twins all the way down south and for some reason, this time, it seemed to calm my twins down. Well, this and the fact I but the DVD player on my knees so they could watch the Little Einstein's Christmas Wish DVD.

Once at NanaPapa's home, my twins had so much fun. NanaPapa love their twin granddaughter's so much and they played outside, watched toddlers shows together and just had a nice time together.

For Christmas Eve, my sister, her family and me and my family all spend time together at my parents home. We had a delicious Spaghetti dinner and nice chit chat. Once dinner was done, we all went to the living room where Papa read from Luke II. Then Papa began passing out Christmas gifts to all the grandchildren and everyone else.

The next day, NanaPapa, the twins and myself went to my sister's home for Christmas dinner. My DH was not feeling well as his neck was hurting and his allergies were bothering him.

On Saturday, we all went to my Gramma's home where my twins got to see some of my Aunt's again and play in the backyard. Oh, and my twins were able to play with their cousins, my sister's kids, again too.

We all had a very nice Christmas and we created very nice memories. My twins were able to climb and sit in an Avocado tree I used to climb as a child and swing on the swing set I used to swing on as a child too.

Don't you just love when things from your childhood are passed down to your children? It puts a smile on my face.

God Bless!!

TwiceToddleres and Sign Language

You know how I talk about the Discovery Channel TV Show Hi-5 in some of my blog posts? Well, here again is a great reason to let your children watch Hi-5 as well. My twins, God love them, are so bright. They seem to pick up everything they watch on these shows.

In the past week, my twins, Twin "B" in particular, have begun signing "I Love You." You know, lifting up her thumb, pointer and pinkie fingers to say, "I Love You."

There is this one episode of Hi-5 where Jen and Chatterbox are signing and singing, "Say Hello, Say Goodbye, Say I Love You...Say Hello, Say Goodbye, Say I Love You."

Now, my twins have been watching this one episode for some time now, and all of a sudden, they, well Twin "B", have begun signing. When my twins were still infants, I would sign to them, but now, they are learning from a TV show.

I think I will purchase a sign language DVD for them to learn sign as well. I learned sign language in the second or third grade.

God Bless my sweet as a sponge three year olds.

TwiceToddlers Mom and the Flat Belly Diet

Flat Belly Diet Recipes That Really Work

Ever since I began this Flat Belly Diet, I have been talking to my Mom, Sister and all my girlfriends about this book and the diet plan. So far, I think my Mom would like to try this diet out. Although, only after Christmas has come and gone.
Within the Flat Belly Diet Book are pages and pages of healthy and desirable meals I have prepared from breakfast, snacks, lunch, another snack and finally dinner. One of my favorite breakfast’s consists of oatmeal and other yummy ingredients. This is quick and easy to make and being a Stay at Home Mom of three year old twin girls, that is what I long for, quick and easy.

TwiceToddlers and their Funny Nap

This Thursday my twins had their annual baby well check up. You see, we never go to their doctor because as busy and silly as my twins are, they never need to see their doctor. Anyway, they were weighed, had their height checked, had their ears and eyes checked as well.

It is so funny, Twin "B" is not really a fan of eating per se, but her sister Twin "A" and her are the exact same height and weight. Go figure.

My twins doctor tried to give us a prescription for Fluoride, but I said, "Their toothpaste has Fluoride in it. We do not need a Fluoride prescription." You see, I know what Flouride is and I will be d____ if my twins receive that poision in their bodies. When my twins were still infants, they were given Fluoride drops from a different baby doctor.

Actually, my twins toothpaste does not have Fluoride in it, but I had to tell her something. Here are other companies that sell fluoride free toothpaste for toddlers: Natural Tartar Control and Whitening Toothpaste - Peppermint Floride Free and Kiss My Face Kids Berry Smart Toothpaste. I am sure there are other companies that sell Fluoride-Free toothpaste, but this is all I could find right now.

Anyway, my twins are healthy(Praise God) and doing fine. I just need to get them in to see the dentist.

TwiceToddlers and Our Little Christmas Tree

This year, just like last, we had to put up a tiny Christmas Tree. That is, if we wanted one at all. Well, of course I wanted a Christmas Tree. The only difference is, last year, I was able to place our tiny Christmas Tree on our dining room table. This year with out twins being three, they would have more access to our Christmas Tree.
The only place in our home which is tall enough for our twins to not reach is our Armour in the Family Room. Last year, I did not have tiny ornaments to place on the tree and it tended to fall over or fall down all together. This year, I purchased some tiny ornaments and a tiny Christmas Tree Skirt too.
Here is our Tiny Christmas Tree on top our Armour.
Next year when our twins are four years old, I am hoping to put up our "fake" Christmas Tree in our Family Room with all my "regular" ornaments and tree skirt. I will also be able to place all their gifts under the tree instead of in the corner of a particular room in my home.
God Bless

TwiceToddlers and their new Basketball Toy

In the city I live in, we live in the valley, and it gets really cold. Well, to me at least. I have never been a fan of cold weather. I tolerance level for weather falls in between 85-72 degrees. Now, my twins on the other hand are like Daddy where they do not really care how hot or cold it is, they just want to play.

Well, because it has been on the chilly side these past couple of days, my twins have had to stay indoors. This is when Daddy decided to let our twins open one of their Christmas presents early. That present would be their basketball hoop with ball.
So far, they do not play with it that much. As it turns out, the basketball toy only comes with one small ball, so we need to order one more. Daddy purchased two yellow Nerf balls, but they are too big to fit into the net. If our twins do not have their own ball, well....need I say more.
Here is Daddy putting the basketball toy together and our twins playing with the toy.

TwiceToddlers Singing "Happy Birthday" to Daddy

Today is Daddy's birthday and we all went to GaGa and Papa's home for spaghetti, cake and ice cream alone with opening Daddy's gifts.
TwiceToddlers and Mommy got Daddy a much needed new digital camera for work and Daddy also got some new PJ's and nice shirts for work and play.
Here are our twins playing with they nativity scene and Daddy's toys from when he was a little boy.

Then, here are our twins helping Daddy blow out the candles for his birthday and eating the delicious cake GaGa made Daddy.

TwiceToddlers "Make Salsa"

Recently, my twins have begun saying, "Make Salsa." I have no idea where they came up with this saying. Now, my Mom and I, love to make salsa, but my twins also watch this one children's TV show called "HI-5."

On one of the shows, the character Kimmie makes salsa and this is where I am also assuming my twins decided to all of a sudden not only say, "Make Salsa", but with their hands in a swirling motion, show they are mixing the salsa together.

It is the cuties thing and wow, my twins are so bright to end remember what that show was about because this particular show has not been on Comcast for two to three months.

God Bless my eager to learn twins.

I mean honestly, there really is nothing to do when the weather is below 69 degrees in my city but stay indoors and learn.

So, HI-5 Twins A and E!

TwiceToddlers and the Backyard Visitor

It all began in the late afternoon, yesterday. I was in my computer room and what did I see laying on my chaise lounge but an orange male cat. He was snuggled up all warm and cozy. At first, I thought he was my neighbors cat. But, he did not run or get scared when he saw me from the inside sliding glass door.

To hide him from my twins, I closed the curtains so as not to scare him or have him run away. He looked so content laying on several beach blankets I have folded on the chaise lounge.
The following morning as I opened the curtains, the orange cat was still there. Sleeping soundly on my chaise lounge. As I did yesterday, I closed the curtains as to not disturb him.

In the late afternoon as my twins woke up from their nap, we went outside to play on their fort/swing set and run around the backyard. Mommy was good, yet again, as I did not tell them the orange cat was on the lounge. Oh but believe me, I really wanted to. Nope, I kept my lips sealed and waited until they spotted our backyard visitor.

Around 4:31 in the afternoon, my twins finally spotted him napping on our lounge. These are the photos I took of my twins petting him and playing with him.
